Chocolate Chip Muffins!

"Do we put it in?" Melania asked while holding up a cup of melted butter. "I think so" I replied.
She poured it in with the the other ingredients already in.
As soon as I cracked the egg and poured in the slimy yolk Melania shouted "NO! Look!" She pointed at the instructions telling us to put the egg, butter, and sugar in a separate bowl.
I just said we were supposed to combine it in anyways.
We poured the milk, and lastly the chocolate chips. We made sure we put enough in there secretly. It said half a cup, but we poured in a full cup.

We were finally finished with the dirty work and put it in the oven.
After that, I decided to kill time with eating the batter and mucking around.
Miss Mules told us that if we were finished we had to go back up to class and make a card for all the people that are not teachers but do a lot for our school.
Melania and I chose Lynn Murry, our loving caretaker.

The lunch bell rang and we asked Tahtiana if she could go get us our muffins because we were still working on the card.
She finally came back, and we saw our DELICIOUS Chocolate Chip Muffins!
I had one bite... and I already fell in love. It was absolutely amazing!

Immersion Room 17

Carbon. All I knew about that word was Oxygen.
I got into a group with Tahtiana, Mckayla, and I.
She showed us You-Tube videos of a Carbon Footprint, and all of us took a lot of notes down.
In the end we filled out the whole page.

She told us we have to go on a computer or Chrome-Book and log in. Inside one of our folders there was a survey about how much my carbon footprint is. My one took up 1.5 planets and I was shocked.
We then did the survey on the least sustainable and the most sustainable.

I didn't get to finish, because there wasn't enough time, but I had lots and lots of fun!

Immersion Room 16

"Is bottled water a sustainable product?" was the question Mr Meikle gave to all of us. I thought about it and said yes, because you can always refill it.
He didn't give us the answer and went on with the lesson.

We got in groups and we had to do this timeline of how bottle water works and how it is made.
We only got 2 wrong, but it was alright.
We had to taste 2 bottles of water and choose which one is better. I chose the second bottle and turns out, it was bottle water.

When the lesson ended, I found out that 3/5 bottled water is just tap water. I kept thinking that why do we have to buy water when we can water for free.
It all started in Cleveland when they started selling Fiji Water. They made a ad saying that "This water is not made in Cleveland because it says Fiji!"
I thought that was quite dumb but its gone now.

Immersion Room 15

We gradually walked down to Room 15, Mrs Spencer's Class. I went and sat on the desk and settled down.
PEST CONTROL were the words on the power-point. "I heard those words before" I told Tahtiana, and she agreed.

To be honest, I haven't even heard of some of the pests she showed us. Mrs Spencer then was talking about traps for possums and how to use them, so we all went outside and try it out. Oh, how excited I was!
It was a shiny, bright yellow container filled with little metal pipes in it. The teacher tied it up w;ith some help of Fuianina, Maddie and Bernadette.
Miss Spencer kicked it out of nowhere and a loud BANG went off. I screamed a little bit along with Tahtiana, we laughed afterwards and said "It wasn't that bad"

In the end, we had a game of when a bunch of people were possums and the rest of us were trees, they had to try and tag us and it was full of running and screaming.
I was surprised that I didn't even get tagged. I had a really great time!

Immersion Room 11

"We're doing Science" Miss Mules shouted at us. It was Monday afternoon and we were doing something about plants.
I got my books out and sat on a table.

She started talking about bees, but I didn't listen to anything else. It was too boring. (Just kidding)
I was taking notes and daydreaming about space.
She showed us a video, and I took that opportunity to think about aliens.
Minutes later, it actually felt like hours, the video finally ended.

She gave us a flower and we had to color and decorate it. I colored mine purple and and shoved in my books.
I was curious of what is going to happen next...

Immersion Room 14

"Treat Mrs Chaney with lots of respect today"  I smiled and yelled "Fuianina too!"
We walked into her class and sat down on the mat,
she started talking about the cycle of plants and asked if any one  knew about it. Only a few hands went up, and then she started the video.
She put us in small  groups and gave us some work-sheets.

We each got called up to plant our seeds,
she asked me to put some soil in and I was Impavid about it.
I put in it in and Piuela helped me.
The container we put it in was so small, I don't know why but I liked it, it was nummy!

While we were planting the seeds, it was as hot as burning fire.
When we were finished, we went back to our table and just talked  for a while.
I was surprised about how fast the experiment was but at the same time I was excited!
I can't wait for them to grow!

2015 School Disco

So school finished...
And now I had to make the biggest decision I have ever made. Go to the disco or stay at home and eat. It was really hard, but all I remember is I ended up back at school again.

My sister dressed up as Taylor Swift, while I just went as myself.
We walked in and the first person I saw was Taliyah. Thank goodness because I thought I was the only from my class to go.
We danced and ate, and just waited for everyone to come.

Melania was dressed up as Pocahontas. It took me quite awhile to think who she was.
Maddie dressed up as Roman Reigns.
And Taliyah dressed up as a Minion.

In the end we took some selfies and went home.
For a first School Disco of the year. It was really fun, and I actually enjoyed it this time. One word to describe it is... Alacrity. Cheerful and Quick.
